GBI was founded in 2007 by seasoned industry veterans Scott Kent (Cub) and Jeff Murray (Smurf). They grew up under the big sky of Montana where they learned the value of hard work and integrity. They began their careers in the 1980's as boilermakers and built a strong friendship booming around the country helping to build America's critical infrastructure. When starting GBI, they shared a simple but powerful vision to deliver high-quality tanks and plate steel products. Their combined expertise coupled with a talented team of craftsmen drove repeat customer business fueling rapid company growth.
In response to customer demand, GBI developed additional solutions to include fabrication (2010), instrumentation & electrical (2014), structural, mechanical, piping (SMP 2014), railroad (2014), plant commissioning and maintenance (2015). GBI has grown to be a trusted turnkey contractor and service provider for leading customers across a variety of industries throughout the U.S. and Canada.
